The leadership here at Connection Point is comprised of men and women who love, care, equip others, and pray. If you have questions for any of our pastors or leaders, feel free to reach out and email them, call our church office, or stop by to speak in person.
Raymond and Malorri met while each were pursuing calls to ministry at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Kansas. After serving at a church near their college for 9 years in associate pastor roles, the Seamons felt called to lead together. They dreamed of equipping leaders in a relational and multicultural environment; the Big Island was the open door God provided to do just that! They have been leading CPCN since October of 2016. Ray and Malorri love their two dogs, plenty of ice cream, hiking, and exploring. Ray enjoys mechanic work and Malorri loves playing volleyball. Ray's mother Dena also lives with them in the parsonage, and you'll most likely hear or see their two dogs Clark and Charlie hanging out.
Pastor Malorri serves as the primary preacher and focuses on training the pastoral team and leaders of the church. Pastor Ray teaches a bible study, preaches more occasionally, and focuses his calling on compassionate ministry out in the community.
Pastor Claudine is a district licensed minister through the Hawaii Pacific District, and a full time online student at Northwest Nazarene University. She is married to her husband Peter, and they have one daughter Eva. Pastor Claudine is especially gifted in prayer and helping people mature spiritually. She often meets one on one with people for spiritual direction, and she is also trained in the premarital program: Save Your Marriage Before It Starts.
Pastor James, his wife Beth, and their daughter Abby moved to the Big Island with hope of beginning a house church with a small group. Through unfortunate circumstances once they arrived on the Big Island, they were the only family that remained yet they still felt the same call. This call eventually brought them to Connection Point, and Pastor James joined the team for mentoring, continued training through our District Course of Study, and accountability. The Picketts planted a church called Family of Faith Church of the Nazarene in August 2021 (yes, in the middle the pandemic), under the support of Connection Point, that meets at Koana Cultural Community in Mountain View. For more information, visit their page. Pastor James is a gifted preacher and teacher, and proud Texan.
Melodie Robertson and her husband Robert moved to the Big Island after living on Oahu and a life of military service. They felt called the come and serve the needs specifically of the Puna District. Mel is a gifted teacher and has plenty of grit alongside her deep compassion. She currently serves in a dual role between Connection Point and our church plant, Family of Faith. Their daughter's family lives on the same property with them, a mini-zoo of dogs, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, and a cat. There's always an extra seat at their dinner table if you're hungry.
Pastor Jenica, her husband Erik, and their six kids moved to Big Island in 2020. Pastor Jenica has always had a heart for keiki and their families. She has extensive trauma training, worked in the foster care community for almost 10 years, and helped lead a non-profit focused on supporting families who face pediatric cancer. She is proud to be a 5th generation Nazarene whose grandfathers are both retired Nazarene ministers. Pastor Jenica has been involved in ministry since high school. She has a deep desire for keiki to know their worth while providing a safe, sensory friendly, and welcoming environment for them to explore God's call in each of their lives. Jenica and Erik are both graduates of Northwest Nazarene University. In her spare time, Pastor Jenica enjoys learning how to garden on lava, drinking good coffee, and reading thought provoking books.
